A guide to this year's tournament

The most hectic week of college basketball's season is officially in bloom. Five more automatic bids were handed out on Tuesday. That brings the total tickets to 12. We've got the details below. Be sure to check in with this post daily, as it will be updated with schedules, scores and conference tournament info as results shift throughout championship week.

Gonzaga won the WCC tourney title for the 17th time in program history. The Bulldogs pounded BYU, 74-54. No bid thieves surfaced on Tuesday. Gonzaga's gaudy 30-4 record gives it a shot to be a No. 4 seed. Josh Perkins, Johnathan Williams III and Killian Tillie are capable of making a Final Four run.

In the Summit League, South Dakota State comes out as champion for the third straight season. A 97-87 win over South Dakota means Mike Daum, one of the best power forwards in college basketball, will get his chance for a March moment. He's good enough to drop 25 and 12 on just about anybody.

Top-seeded Charleston got a come-from-behind, overtime win over No. 2 Northeastern in a dramatic CAA title game. A controversial traveling call against Northeastern in the waning seconds allowed Charleston a chance to get the game to OT. Northeastern couldn't blame its woes of officiating alone, though. The team blew a double-digit lead down the stretch.
